Join us for this class with either a sewing machine or a serger or both in this four class series! I’ll be covering the basics of sewing an article of clothing from a pattern. We’ll cover size selection & minor adjustments, fabric preparation, layout considerations (grain, folds, nap, fabric patterns), cutting, and fabric marking. We’ll learn about the details of pattern instructions and how to change the instructions to work when sewing with a serger. We’ll cover all the sewing basics – the how-to's and why’s. And we’ll learn how your regular machine and your serger can complement each other!
After registering for the class, you will receive a supply list via email. The cost of $40 is for the entire series, not including patterns, fabrics, and notions. Garment complexities will increase after completion of each garment. The intention is that this class will meet monthly for the entire year.
